Mini oven mitts for small hands

This two-pack of Goldmeet SALFNDA123 mitts measures 7 inches by 5.5 inches and is sized for smaller hands. A cotton inner layer sits beneath a full silicone grip that covers the palm. The set fits either hand and includes a hanging loop for storage.

Heat resistance and cleaning

The silicone surface is rated to 500 degrees Fahrenheit or 260 degrees Celsius, protecting against heat, steam and grease splatter. A non-slip texture improves grip on hot cookware. Both mitts are machine washable and can also be hand washed with warm water and soap.

Upgrade from basic pot holders

These mitts replace single-layer cloth pads that can slip or let heat through. The silicone palm and cotton lining give a measurable step up in grip security and thermal protection. The improvement is most noticeable when handling heavy cast-iron pans or moving dishes in and out of a hot oven.

Questions about this item

How do I put on the 7x5.5in mitts so the silicone grip faces the hot pan?

Slip your hand into the cotton inner layer with the thumb in the dedicated pocket; the 100% silicone palm then sits flat against the cookware for a non-slip hold.

When will the gray silicone coating need replacing?

Machine wash after each use; the 500°F rated silicone does not degrade under normal kitchen heat, so replacement is only needed if the surface tears or loses grip.

What is the first limit reached during a long BBQ session at 260°C?

The 500°F / 260°C heat ceiling is the hard limit; sustained contact above that temperature will break down the silicone layer before the cotton liner fails.
