Product and Audience

This six-pack of in-ceiling rough-in kits is built for 8-inch round speakers in new construction or remodel projects. Installers tack the 26-inch plastic bands between studs and slide each mount to the exact listening position before drywall goes up.

Thermals Noise and Power

Passive plastic frames generate no heat, make no sound and draw no power during operation. The ABS material simply holds its shape behind the drywall while keeping the speaker cavity clean until the drivers are fitted.

Speaker Compatibility Constraint

The 9.625-inch cut-out is sized for Theater Solutions TS80C and CS8C models; all other 8-inch flush-mount speakers must be verified against this dimension before purchase.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 26" plastic bands between 2x4 studs?

Tack the bands between the studs, then slide the ABS mount along them to the exact speaker position before the drywall goes up.

What part might I need to replace if the speaker hole cover gets lost or damaged?

The removable plastic hole cover keeps debris out of the cavity; order an extra kit if a cover is missing.

What diameter limit do I hit first when fitting an 8" speaker?

The rough-in hole is cut to 9.625", so the speaker frame must not exceed that diameter.
