8-inch rectangular rough-in kit

The Theater Solutions RK8W kit provides 20 ABS plastic mounting frames for 8-inch rectangular in-wall speakers. Each frame includes 26-inch adjustable bands that fit between standard 2x4 studs. A removable cover keeps debris out of the cavity until the speaker is installed. The flange depth matches typical drywall thickness for a flush finish.

Builders pre-wiring walls for surround

This pack suits installers running cable before drywall goes up in home-theatre, whole-house or commercial projects. The hook on each mount holds speaker wire securely during the rough-in phase. Buyers fitting round speakers or models with a different cut-out dimension should look at another kit.

Cut-out 8.75 by 12.875 inches for TS80W and CS8W

The frame opening measures 8.75 inches by 12.875 inches and is designed specifically for Theater Solutions TS80W and CS8W speakers. Verify your speaker’s exact cut-out size before purchasing because not all 8-inch flush-mount models share these dimensions.

Questions about this item

How do I mount the 26" plastic bands between 2x4 studs and position the bracket?

Tack each band between the studs, then slide the bracket along the band until the speaker hole lines up with your planned location before securing it.

What ongoing care does the removable plastic hole cover need during construction?

Leave the cover in place to keep debris out of the cavity; remove it only when you are ready to pull speaker wire and install the speaker.

What dimensional limit must I verify before buying so the speaker fits the 8.75" x 12.875" cutout?

Confirm your speaker’s frame matches this exact rectangle; other 8" flush-mount models often differ and will not seat properly.
