Expansion content

Monster Train 2: Destiny of the Railforged adds a new clan, artifacts, enemies and a game mode to the base roguelike deckbuilder. Players command the Railforged clan led by Herzal or Heph, using a Forge mechanic to construct units and equipment during combat. The expansion requires the original Monster Train 2 game and a Steam account for activation on PC.

Installation steps

Activating the product requires a third-party Steam account and the supplied online game code. Users redeem the code through the Steam client to download the expansion files. The process follows standard Steam DLC installation; no separate launcher or additional DRM layer is involved beyond the Steam platform itself.

Platform limits

The expansion runs only on PC via Steam and supports nine interface languages plus English voiceover. Content is locked to the Steam ecosystem, so it cannot be transferred to other storefronts or played without the Steam client. Release is scheduled for February 2026, so the download will not be available before that date.
