Compact travel umbrella for daily use

The GORILLA GRIP 840316701105 collapses to 11.5 inches and weighs .9 pounds, so it fits inside a backpack or purse. A 42-inch canopy opens with one click to keep you covered during sudden showers. The clear finish and slip-resistant handle suit commuters and travellers who want reliable rain protection without bulk.

Included carry pouch and quick-dry fabric

A matching pouch stores the wet canopy after use, preventing drips inside bags. The 190 Pongee coating repels water so the surface dries faster than untreated polyester. One-hand operation means you can open or close the umbrella while holding luggage or a phone.

20 UPF shade and 23 mph wind rating

Eight reinforced fiberglass ribs hold the canopy steady in gusts up to 23 mph, while the UPF 20 fabric blocks a portion of UV rays on sunny days. The frame is rust resistant for long-term use. Buyers needing a larger canopy for two people or a higher UPF rating for extended sun exposure should consider other models.

Questions about this item

Will the 190 Pongee canopy or the 8 fiberglass ribs need replacement first after frequent use?

The 190 Pongee fabric is more durable than polyester and has a water-resistant coating that repels water instead of soaking through, while the 8 reinforced fiberglass ribs are designed to handle gusts up to 23 mph and the frame is rust resistant for long-lasting use.

What wind speed will the 8 reinforced fiberglass ribs withstand before inverting?

The umbrella is third-party tested and built to handle everyday wind and weather up to gusts of 23 mph without inverting or breaking.

Does the slip-resistant handle stay comfortable and the canopy stay cool during all-day sun exposure at 20 UPF?

The soft-touch, slip-resistant handle is designed for easy grip over long periods, and the canopy provides UV protection up to 20 UPF while the water-resistant coating and quick-dry 190 Pongee fabric prevent heat buildup.
