What It Is

The GP Thunder 6000K D2C HID xenon bulbs are a direct replacement pair for factory D2R and D2S headlight capsules. They fit luxury vehicles from Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, Lexus, Infiniti, Acura and Honda without adapter harnesses. Each bulb draws 35 W and produces a diamond-white 6000 K output that is noticeably whiter than standard halogen light.

Upgrade From Halogen

A 35 W HID source delivers up to 3500 lumens at the bulb compared with 1330 lumens from a 50 W halogen capsule while consuming less power. Efficiency rises from 15 lm/W to 100 lm/W and rated life extends from roughly 350 hours to over 2000 hours. The jump is worth it when you want significantly more light output, a daylight colour match and longer service intervals without increasing electrical load.

Capacity And Limits

The kit comfortably handles low-beam and high-beam projector or reflector housings that accept D2R or D2S bases. It runs out when the vehicle requires a different base type, an integrated ballast module or a colour temperature outside the 6000 K specification. Buyers who need a higher Kelvin rating or a non-D2 fitment must look elsewhere.
