  • Omni-directional aim line enables point-and-shoot without alignment

Cordless 1D/2D Barcode Scanner Kit

The Grace Manufacturing DS8178 kit provides a cordless handheld imager that reads 1D and 2D barcodes from paper, mobile screens and PDF417 codes. It includes a shielded USB cable and a FIPS-standard cradle for charging and communication. The scanner is new and ready for deployment in retail, hospitality or light industrial environments.

Suited for point-of-sale and inventory teams

This kit suits businesses that need omnidirectional, point-and-shoot scanning without aligning the imager. It is not for operations that require a wired-only connection, readers limited to 1D symbologies or devices built for extreme outdoor or hazardous-area use.

RF cordless interface

The scanner communicates with its cradle over an RF cordless link, so the host system sees a USB connection while the operator moves freely. Verify that your POS software accepts standard USB HID or COM input before purchase.
