GWN7711 switch for small business networks

The Grandstream GWN7711 is a Layer 2 lite managed switch with eight Gigabit Ethernet ports. It targets small-to-medium businesses that need a cloud-manageable network foundation. The switch supports IGMP snooping and built-in QoS to keep multicast and priority traffic flowing smoothly. Management is handled through GDMS Networking or the on-premise GWN Manager platform.

Verify port count and management platform before

Confirm that eight Gigabit ports match the number of wired endpoints you plan to connect. Ensure your team can use GDMS Networking or GWN Manager for configuration and monitoring. Check whether any attached devices require PoE power, because this model does not supply it. Validate that LLDP discovery works with your existing phones, cameras or access points.

Fits a managed access layer without PoE

The unit slots into a rack or desktop as a managed access switch for workstations, printers and non-PoE wireless gear. IGMP snooping and storm control protect the broadcast domain while QoS reserves bandwidth for voice or video. Cloud or local management frees administrators from per-device CLI work. It does not power PoE endpoints, so a separate injector or PoE switch is needed for those devices.
