Enterprise Layer 2+ managed switch with 48 Gigabit Ethernet ports and 6 SFP+ uplinks, supporting stacking of up to 16 units for centralised management
The GWN7806 is an enterprise Layer 2+ managed switch with 48 Gigabit Ethernet ports and six SFP+ uplinks. It targets small-to-medium businesses that need a single, centrally managed switching layer for wired endpoints and fibre uplinks.
The module replaces unmanaged or lightly managed edge switches that lack VLAN, QoS and security features such as ARP inspection and DHCP snooping. The jump is worthwhile when traffic prioritisation, fault detection or IPv6 dual-stack operation become operational requirements.
The switch fits a standard rack and draws power from the mains; PoE models add per-port power budgeting for attached devices. An embedded controller, GWN.Cloud or GWN Manager handles configuration, while stacking support for up to 16 units lets the fabric grow without redesigning the management plane.
