Aggregation switch with 32 Gigabit and 10 Gigabit ports for scalable Layer 3 networks
The Grandstream GWN7831 is a Layer 3 managed aggregation switch offering 32 ports in a mix of Gigabit Ethernet, Gigabit SFP and 10 Gigabit SFP+ interfaces. It targets enterprises that need scalable, secure, high-performance networking with full IPv4 and IPv6 support.
Organisations that want cloud or on-premise control via GWN.Cloud and GWN Manager will benefit from the embedded controller and advanced security features such as ARP inspection, IP source guard, DoS protection, port security and DHCP snooping. Sites that only require basic unmanaged connectivity or a smaller port count should consider a different class of switch.
Built-in QoS prioritises critical traffic during prolonged periods of high utilisation, while the Layer 3 routing engine maintains consistent forwarding performance across mixed copper and fibre uplinks. The switch is designed to handle continuous aggregation workloads without relying on short-burst headroom.

The GWN7831 provides 24 Gigabit SFP ports and 12 10Gigabit SFP+ ports. You must supply compatible SFP transceivers for 1 Gbps links and SFP+ transceivers for 10 Gbps links, plus the appropriate fibre or copper patch cables for each module.
Yes. The GWN7831 includes an embedded controller and works with both GWN.Cloud and the on-premise GWN Manager, so it can be managed in the same platform as legacy Grandstream switches that use GWN Manager.
Connect devices to different VLANs on the 32 ports, then ping or transfer data across the VLAN interfaces. Successful Layer 3 forwarding confirms the GWN7831 is routing as intended.
