Power for MSI GE76 and GE66 laptops

This 240W USB-C charger supplies 20V at 12A to compatible MSI GE76 and GE66 laptops. It replaces the Chicony A20-240P2A or A240A007P adapter. The unit is new and includes a power cord.

100-240V input with regional plug options

The adapter accepts 100-240V at 50-60Hz, so it works on mains supplies worldwide. Plug types for EU, US, UK and AU are available. The output is fixed at 20V 12A and cannot charge devices that need a different voltage or current profile.

Simple USB-C connection with no drivers

Plug the USB-C connector into the laptop and the power cord into the wall. No software installation is required. Problems usually arise when the laptop port does not support 240W charging or when a lower-wattage cable limits the power delivered.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the EU, US, UK or AU plug version for my MSI GE76 or GE66?

Choose the plug that matches your local wall socket; the adapter itself delivers 20V at 12A for 240W regardless of the cord supplied.

What does the 240W rating mean when the charger is connected to my laptop?

It means the unit can supply up to 20V and 12A simultaneously, letting the laptop draw full power for gaming or heavy workloads without throttling.

The connector is listed as USB — does that limit the power to the usual 100W USB-C ceiling?

No; the USB-C plug here is built for the 20V 12A profile, so the 240W output is delivered in full through that connector.
