Questions about this item
What does the 15 K spindle speed mean for real-world access times?
A 15 K RPM spindle cuts average rotational latency to roughly 2 ms, so random read and write requests complete faster than on slower enterprise drives.
What does the SAS 12 G interface cap in practice?
The SAS 12 G link tops out at 12 Gb/s per lane, so sustained throughput cannot exceed that ceiling even if the drive media could go faster.
