Suits arrays needing a tested 900G 10K drive

This drive fits administrators replacing a failed unit in compatible SAS arrays or servers. It is not for buyers who require a factory-sealed drive with a full manufacturer warranty. It is also not for systems that need a different capacity or interface type.

900G capacity at 10K spindle speed

The 900G capacity combined with a 10K rotational speed determines the storage density and I/O performance profile. Verify that your target system supports 2.5-inch SAS drives with this exact capacity and speed before purchasing.

Questions about this item

What SAS controller or backplane do I need to connect this 2.5-inch 10K drive?

This drive uses a 6 Gb SAS interface and fits 2.5-inch bays in systems such as the SC220, SC4020, SC5020, SCV2020 or SCV3020.

Will it work in an older server that only supports 3 Gb SAS?

The 6 Gb SAS link is backward-compatible, so the drive will negotiate down to 3 Gb on legacy controllers.

How can I verify the drive is healthy after installation?

Run the controller BIOS or OS SMART tools and confirm the drive reports 900 GB capacity, 10K RPM and zero reallocated sectors.
