Insulated 1/2" Drive Extension 15

This 15 inch insulated extension fits a 1/2 inch square drive and is rated for 1000 V. It is built for electricians and technicians who work on live or potentially live electrical equipment. The tool extends reach while maintaining a protective barrier between the user and the conductor. Each piece is individually tested to ASTM F1505 standards.

Dual-Layer Insulation With Spring-Loaded Lock

A transparent orange outer insulation layer covers a yellow inner layer that acts as a visual safety indicator; damage to the orange surface reveals the yellow beneath. The spring-loaded ball provides a positive lock onto the socket so it cannot detach unexpectedly during use. This construction supports daily use in industrial and utility environments where insulation integrity is critical.

Replaces Worn Or Single-Layer Extensions

The extension replaces older insulated extensions that have cracked insulation or lack a dual-colour wear indicator. It also upgrades from non-insulated extensions when a job requires 1000 V protection. The jump is worth it when the existing tool no longer passes a visual inspection or when the work scope moves onto energised panels.
