Gray Tools C4 Flat Chisel 3/4" Cut 5/8" Body 6-1/2" Long Tool Storage

3/4-Inch Cut Flat Chisel

This Gray Tools C4 flat chisel is a hand tool designed for cutting and shaping metal in automotive and general workshop tasks. It serves technicians and DIY users who need a durable striking tool for precise material removal. The tool is sold new and ships directly from the manufacturer.

Heat-Treated Striking End Upgrade

The chisel features a specially heat-treated construction that provides a hard working end for cutting and a softer striking end to resist chipping during heavy hammer blows. This design replaces basic untreated chisels that can mushroom or fracture under repeated impact, making the upgrade worthwhile for frequent professional use.

ANSI-Standard Hand Tool Limits

The tool meets ANSI standards for hand-operated striking tools, defining its safe use parameters for manual hammer applications. It is not suited for powered impact drivers or pneumatic hammers, which exceed the force limits of the heat-treated striking end. The lacquered working end and painted shank offer corrosion resistance but require standard workshop care.
