Extended power for Sony Alpha cameras

The Green Extreme VG-C3EM battery grip fits the Sony A9, A7 III and A7R III and holds up to two NP-FZ100 packs. It doubles available shooting time for photographers and videographers who need to keep working without swapping batteries.

Vertical controls rely on camera firmware

The grip adds a shutter button, main dial, multi-controller, AF point selector and AE lock for upright shooting. All functions are passed through the camera body, so their behaviour matches the firmware implementation on each supported model.

Twin NP-FZ100 chamber decides runtime

The grip accepts one or two NP-FZ100 batteries and the total capacity scales directly with the number of cells installed. Buyers who need more storage or a different battery format cannot use this accessory.

Questions about this item

How many NP-FZ100 batteries can the grip hold at once?

The grip accepts one or two NP-FZ100 batteries, letting you double the camera's standard capacity for longer sessions.

What does doubling the battery power actually deliver during a shoot?

It extends operating time significantly, especially when using power-hungry modes such as Movie Mode or Live View.

Does the grip use the camera's native battery interface or a different connection?

It uses the standard NP-FZ100 battery chamber, so the camera reads each cell exactly as it would the internal battery.
