USB 3.0 Type-A Extension Cable 6.6FT

This 6.6-foot USB 3.0 extension cable adds reach between a host and any Type-A peripheral. The male-to-female design supports 5Gbps transfer rates while remaining backward compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.1 devices. It suits desktop, laptop, console and printer setups where the stock cable falls short.

Passive Copper Link With Shielded Conductors

The cable draws bus power only and adds no active electronics, so it produces no heat and no audible noise. Thick wire cores and full shielding keep signal loss low at the rated 5Gbps speed. A military-grade nylon braid and reinforced strain relief survive 400000-plus bend cycles without internal breakage.

Single-Cable Topology For Reliable Enumeration

Gold-plated Type-A connectors resist corrosion and maintain low contact resistance over repeated mating. The supplier advises against daisy-chaining multiple extensions because cascaded attenuation causes enumeration failures. One continuous 6.6-foot run preserves signal integrity for external drives, cameras, keyboards and similar USB 3.0 or 2.0 gear.

Questions about this item

How do I install the Green Jiss APR577-2M USB 3.0 extension cable and what step is often missed?

Plug the Type A male end into the host port and the device into the female end, ensuring both connections are fully seated and free of dust; the step often missed is verifying a tight fit on both ends to avoid intermittent recognition.

What maintenance or replacement will the Green Jiss APR577-2M cable need over time?

The cable is lab-tested to survive 400000+ bends with a military-grade nylon braid and reinforced strain relief, so no routine maintenance is required; replace only if physical damage or persistent connection issues appear.

What limit appears first when the Green Jiss APR577-2M cable is used continuously at high speed?

Signal attenuation and power delivery limits appear first; the supplier strongly advises against chaining multiple cables because doing so exponentially increases attenuation and will almost certainly cause device non-recognition or intermittent connections.
