The 44.45 mm overall length and 11.11 mm thread length suit general-purpose threading tasks. Right-hand cutting direction matches standard fastener orientation.

Replaces worn or undersized M2 taps

Switch when an existing tap produces loose threads measured outside the 2B class of fit or when the D3 limit no longer holds tolerance. The 75 percent thread engagement with a 1.60 mm drill size restores full thread depth in through-holes. The taper chamfer helps alignment in materials where a bottoming tap would bind.
