1 1/4 Inch Conduit Piston

The Greenlee 611-3 is a foam piston designed for pulling cable through EMT, IMC and rigid conduit with a 1 1/4 inch trade size. It suits electricians and low-voltage installers who need a disposable pull tool for standard conduit runs.

Green Foam Three-Pack

Each piston measures 2 inches long, 1.3 inches wide and 2 inches high with a hook-and-loop closure. The green foam construction provides a seal against the conduit wall while the pack of three gives spares for longer jobs or multiple crews.

Pulling Capacity and Limits

The pistons work with Greenlee blower and vacuum series equipment to move line through compatible conduit sizes. They are not suited for conduit diameters outside 1 1/4 inch or for applications requiring tensile-rated pulling eyes.

Questions about this item

Will the foam pistons need replacement after several conduit pulls?

The foam material wears with repeated use; inspect each piston for tears or compression loss before every job and replace any that no longer seal the 1 1/4 in conduit.

What stops the piston from sealing during a long cable pull?

Foam compression and debris buildup reduce the seal first; the 1.3 in width must stay snug against EMT, IMC or rigid conduit walls to maintain airflow.

Does the blower motor overheat when running all day with these pistons?

The pistons add negligible load; motor heat depends on the Greenlee blower/vacuum unit itself, not on the three green foam pistons in the package.
