Gretsch G5230T Electromatic Jet FT Single-Cut

The Gretsch G5230T Electromatic Jet FT Single-Cut is a new electric guitar built for players who want classic Jet styling with a chambered mahogany body and maple top. It carries the 65-year Gretsch legacy into a versatile instrument suited for stage and studio work. The Black Top Filter'Tron pickups deliver a wide, balanced and transparent tone with responsive lows and a smooth high end.

Chambered mahogany body with maple top

The chambered mahogany body paired with a maple top creates a deep acoustic foundation that remains dynamic under sustained playing. Black Top Filter'Tron pickups amplify this resonance to produce full, punchy lows and mids alongside a high end that sparkles without harsh spikes. Individual pickup volumes, master tone and master volume with treble bleed give total tonal control at any gain level.

Bigsby vibrato tailpiece

The licensed Bigsby B50 vibrato tailpiece adds expressive pitch modulation but is not designed for extreme dive-bomb techniques. Players who require locking tuning stability or a double-locking tremolo system will find this vibrato a practical limit. The guitar weighs 13.37 and uses the Gretsch 2507210506 part number for identification.

Questions about this item

Does the chambered mahogany body with maple top make the G5230T heavy to hold all day?

The G5230T weighs 13.37 lbs. Its chambered mahogany body with maple top is designed for a balanced feel and deep acoustic foundation, reducing fatigue during long sessions.

What amplification gear is needed to hear the Black Top Filter'Tron pickups?

You need a standard 1/4-inch instrument cable and an electric guitar amplifier. The pickups are passive, so no batteries or active preamps are required.

Will the Bigsby vibrato stay in tune with my existing vintage-style tuners?

The G5230T includes its own sealed die-cast tuning machines. The Bigsby B50 vibrato works with the roller bridge and Graph Tech nut for tuning stability; external tuners are not used.
