Core specification

This GRI gaming desktop pairs an Intel Core i9-12900K processor with a GeForce RTX 4070 12GB graphics card. The system includes 16GB of DDR4 memory and a 2TB NVMe solid-state drive. Windows 11 Pro comes pre-installed and activated. It is built for enthusiasts who want high frame rates at 1440p resolution and smooth multitasking across demanding applications.

Upgrade context

The configuration replaces mid-range desktops limited to six-core processors and 8GB video memory. The jump is worthwhile when current hardware stutters in modern titles or struggles with simultaneous streaming and gaming workloads. Buyers who need more than 16GB of system memory or a larger power budget for additional drives should look elsewhere.

Platform limits

The B660M motherboard locks the memory to DDR4 speeds and does not support CPU overclocking despite the unlocked processor. The 650W power supply leaves minimal headroom for significant GPU upgrades or high-wattage add-in cards. The micro-ATX form factor restricts expansion slots to a single full-length graphics position.

Questions about this item

Will the Zalman i3 ARGB case with its 422mm depth, 219mm width and 484mm height fit on my desk?

The chassis measures 422mm deep, 219mm wide and 484mm high; allow a few centimetres extra for cable bend radius and the hinged glass panel swing.

What is the correct order to seat the i9-12900K, 16GB DDR4 ARGB modules and RTX 4070 12GB during assembly?

Install the CPU and DDR4 memory on the B660M motherboard before mounting the board in the case, then insert the RTX 4070 into the top PCIe slot and connect its power cables.

Which components in this build are most likely to need replacement after several years of heavy gaming?

The 650W power supply and the four 120mm ARGB chassis fans are the parts that typically wear out first under sustained high-load use.
