Gaming desktop with i9-12900K and RTX 4070

This custom-built desktop pairs a 12th Gen Intel Core i9 processor with 32GB of DDR4 memory and a GeForce RTX 4070 graphics card. The 2TB NVMe drive provides fast storage for games and applications. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed and fully updated.

Upgrades from older CPU or GPU platforms

Moving from an earlier 6-core processor or a previous-generation graphics card yields noticeably higher frame rates in modern titles and smoother multitasking. The 12GB GPU memory handles 1440p textures comfortably. The jump is worth it when current hardware limits resolution or refresh rate.

Limits of the B660M platform and 650W supply

The micro-ATX motherboard restricts expansion to fewer PCIe slots than full-size boards. The 650W power supply supports the included components with some headroom but limits future upgrades to higher-wattage graphics cards. WiFi 6E connectivity depends on compatible router hardware.

Questions about this item

Will the 422 mm deep Zalman i3 ARGB chassis fit on my desk?

The case measures 422 mm deep by 219 mm wide by 484 mm high, so measure your available space against those external dimensions before ordering.

Which way do the four 120 mm ARGB fans need to face for correct airflow?

Mount the front three fans as intake and the rear fan as exhaust; the mesh front panel and hinged glass side panel are designed for that front-to-back flow path.

When should I plan to replace the 650 W power supply?

A quality 650 W unit typically lasts five to seven years; swap it earlier if you add a higher-wattage GPU or notice coil whine or voltage instability under load.
