Marine In-Line Ball Valve

The Groco 1-1/2" NPT stainless steel in-line ball valve controls fuel or water flow on boats and marine systems. It is built for owners and yards that need a full-flow shut-off with a 1000 WOG rating and UL listing for fuel or water service.

Verify Threads And Handle Clearance

Confirm the piping uses 1-1/2" NPT threads and that the #304 stainless handle has room to operate or accept a standard ratchet in the square hole. The thumb-release locking mechanism must be accessible to secure the chosen position.

Sustained Load Behaviour

PTFE seats and seals maintain sealing integrity under continuous pressure up to the 1000 WOG rating. The #316 stainless body resists corrosion during long-term immersion, and the grease zerk fitting allows lubrication while the valve stays open for extended service intervals.

Questions about this item

Does the 1-1/2" NPT stainless steel in-line ball valve include the grease zerk fitting, or must that be purchased separately?

The valve includes a grease zerk fitting for lubrication or draining; it is used only with the valve in the open position.

Should I choose the #316 stainless steel body version or a different body material for marine fuel and water systems?

The body is #316 stainless steel with PTFE seats and seals, and the valve is UL listed for fuel or water service.

What does the 1000 WOG rating mean when the valve is installed in a real plumbing system?

The 1000 WOG rating indicates the valve is rated for 1000 psi water, oil, or gas non-shock working pressure.
