Grote 49262 MicroNova DOT Red Marker Lamp

The Grote 49262 MicroNova is a DOT-compliant red clearance marker lamp designed for recreational vehicles. It uses LED technology within a round, one-inch diameter polycarbonate housing with an acrylic lens. The lamp mounts via a grommet and connects through a male bullet connector drawing 0.03 A. It meets FMVSS 108 standards with SAE lens code PC.

Suitable for RV owners needing a standard round

This lamp fits buyers replacing a surface-mounted round marker light that uses a grommet and bullet connector. It is not for vehicles requiring rectangular or oblong marker lamps, nor for applications needing a flange mount or hard-wired pigtail. Buyers needing amber identification lights or combination stop-tail-turn functions should look elsewhere.

FMVSS 108 compliance with SAE PC lens code

The decisive specification is the FMVSS 108 certification paired with the SAE PC lens code, confirming the lamp is legal for front or rear side marker and clearance use on trailers and motorhomes in the United States. Without this marking the lamp cannot be used for DOT-regulated lighting positions.

Will the 0.03 A draw of this MicroNova LED marker overload a vintage RV fuse panel?

At 0.03 A the lamp places minimal load on legacy circuits, well within typical fuse ratings for marker-light branches.

How can I confirm the 49262 meets DOT requirements once it is mounted?

The lens carries SAE code PC and complies with FMVSS 108, visible on the housing after installation.

Does the 49262 include the grommet and pigtail, or must they be purchased separately?

The lamp is supplied as the light head only; a compatible grommet and male-bullet pigtail are sold separately.
