The Grote 60421 is a surface-mounted courtesy light designed for 13.5 V DC electrical systems. Its rectangular clear lens emits white illumination suited to machine-shop equipment, utility vehicles or interior compartments where a compact indicator is required. The unit installs through a grommet mount and ships new from the supplier.

Grommet Mount and Pigtail Connection

Installation requires a round cut-out for the grommet and a compatible pigtail connector such as models 66800, 66840, 66850, 66851, 67001 or 67050. The light body measures 2 5/8 in long, 1/2 in wide and 1 1/4 in high, leaving minimal footprint on panels or frames. No separate wiring harness is included, so the installer must supply the matching connector.

Steady Low-Voltage Operation

The lamp draws power directly from a 13.5 V DC source without an internal regulator, so brightness remains consistent as long as system voltage is stable. There is no PWM dimming or thermal throttling described, meaning output does not decay during extended use.
