Grote 63871-5 800 lm LED Flood Light

This Grote 63871-5 work light delivers 800 lumens of LED output in a round housing with a clear/black finish. It is built for vehicle classes 3 through 13 and operates on 12/24V DC systems. The IP69K rating confirms protection against high-pressure wash-downs. Mounting is handled by a removable bracket with a hard-shell connector.

Thermals noise and power draw

LED lighting technology runs cool and draws low current from 12/24V DC vehicle circuits. The sealed IP69K housing prevents water ingress during high-pressure cleaning without active cooling. No moving parts means silent operation in cab or exterior positions. Power consumption suits standard heavy-duty electrical systems without extra load.

Bracket and connector benefits

The removable bracket allows quick repositioning or removal for service and storage. A hard-shell connector provides a secure, weather-tight electrical link that resists vibration on class 3-13 vehicles. Compliance with Directive 72/245/EEC and ECE R10 supports legal on-road use. The wide flood beam pattern covers broad work areas from a single mounting point.

Questions about this item

How do I install the Grote 63871-5 flood light and what step is often missed?

Mount the included bracket securely, then connect the hard-shell connector to a 12/24V DC supply; the step often missed is fully seating the connector until it clicks to meet the IP69K seal.

What maintenance or replacement will the Grote 63871-5 need over time?

The sealed LED module is not user-serviceable; if output drops below the rated 800 lm or the IP69K seal is compromised, replace the entire unit.

What limit appears first on the Grote 63871-5 during sustained use?

Thermal protection will dim the 800 lm output before any electrical limit is reached, preserving the LED and the IP69K housing.
