Submersible LED Kit Square Black Red

The Grote 65440-5 is a submersible LED lighting kit designed for machine-shop hardware applications. It features a square black housing with a red lens and uses incandescent lighting technology. The kit is built for universal vehicle-side mounting with a removable bracket installation.

Blunt Cut Wires and Recessed Mount

The kit connects via blunt-cut wires for direct electrical integration. A recessed mount style and bracket mount type allow secure, flush fitting in square openings. The removable installation type means the unit can be taken out for service or replacement without rewiring the whole circuit.

For Trailer and Utility Lighting Needs

This kit suits workshops and fleets needing a compact, submersible square light with a red lens for trailer or utility use. It is not for buyers who need a round form factor or a different lens colour. It is not for installations that require a pre-wired connector instead of blunt-cut wires.

Questions about this item

Will the incandescent bulbs in the Grote 65440-5 kit need periodic replacement?

Yes, incandescent bulbs have a limited lifespan and will require replacement when they burn out, unlike LED alternatives that last significantly longer.

What limits continuous operation of the Grote 65440-5 trailer lights?

The 0.59 A current draw is the primary electrical limit; sustained use depends on the vehicle's circuit capacity and wiring condition to prevent voltage drop or overheating.

How much heat do the Grote 65440-5 lights generate during all-day use?

Incandescent technology converts most energy into heat, so the square lens and housing will become noticeably warm during extended operation, requiring adequate airflow around the recessed mount.
