Clearance marker light for RVs

The Grote G1033 is a 2.5 in round LED clearance lamp with an amber polycarbonate lens. It mounts via bracket or grommet and meets FMVSS 108 and SAE P2 standards for side-marker visibility on recreational vehicles.

Low current draw and sealed housing

The lamp draws only .07 A at operating voltage, placing minimal load on the vehicle electrical system. Its polycarbonate housing and sealed optic lens resist moisture and road debris without active cooling or moving parts.

PL-10 connector and compatible pigtails

The fixture terminates in a PL-10 connector and is listed for use with manufacturer model numbers 66800, 66801, 66840, 66850, 66851, 67001 and 67050. Buyers who need a different plug style or hard-wire installation will need a separate adapter.

Questions about this item

How is the G1033 mounted and what step is often missed?

The light uses a grommet and bracket with a PL-10 connector; the step often missed is seating the grommet fully so the lens sits flush and seals against moisture.

What maintenance or replacement will the G1033 need over time?

The polycarbonate lens can yellow or crack from UV and impact; if the LED array dims or the PL-10 pins corrode, replace the whole lamp unit.

What limit appears first during continuous operation of the G1033?

At 0.07 A draw the circuit and connector heat up before the LEDs do; the PL-10 connection and supply wiring become the thermal bottleneck.
