Gruvlok EPDM Gasket for 2-1/2 in Piping

This Gruvlok Grade EP gasket is made from EPDM and rated for a temperature range of -40 to 250 degrees Fahrenheit. It carries ASTM D2000 compliance and NSF certification. The gasket is designed for use with manufacturer numbers 390003028 and 390013522. It suits plumbing professionals needing a certified sealing component for compatible piping systems.

Installation and Common Issues

The gasket installs by seating it into the compatible coupling or flange groove before tightening the housing bolts. Correct alignment in the groove prevents pinching or extrusion during assembly. A common issue is using the gasket outside its specified temperature limits or with incompatible fluids, which degrades the EPDM material. Buyers needing a different temperature range, material grade, or pipe size should select an alternative gasket.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the Gruvlok EP gasket is sealing correctly once installed?

Pressurize the joint within the -40 to 250 degrees F range and check for leaks; the EPDM material and ASTM D2000 compliance indicate reliable performance when mated to the specified Gruvlok couplings.

What comes with the Gruvlok 390078665 gasket and what must be purchased separately?

The box contains the 2-1/2 in EPDM Grade EP gasket only; compatible Gruvlok couplings such as Mfr. No. 390003028 or 0390013522 are sold separately.
