Connector must be 4-pin 4-wire with no soldering

The fans draw DC 5V at 0.5A and terminate in a 4-pin 4-wire plug that mates directly with the motherboard header. If your board uses a different pin count or requires wire soldering, this kit will not fit. No adapter or harness is included to bridge other connector styles.

Plug-in install; cable routing is the common snag

Removal of the old fans only requires a screwdriver and the new modules snap into the same mounts. The integrated flex cables are short, so they must be tucked carefully around the heatsink screws to avoid pinching. Mis-routed cables are the usual cause of a fan error on first boot.
