What this scanner does and who needs it

The NT-1228bc reads 1D and stacked barcodes from paper, screens or through glass and shrink wrap using a 2500 pixel CCD sensor. It connects to phones, tablets or PCs via Bluetooth, 2.4G wireless or a wired link and works with Windows, Mac, Android, iOS and Linux systems.

Installation steps and common issues

Pairing is done by scanning the setup barcodes printed in the manual; the scanner also stores up to 100000 codes when out of wireless range. Buyers who need to read 2D or QR codes will find this model cannot decode them.

Battery life and daily capacity

A 2600mAh battery delivers up to 200000 scans per charge and can last a month in heavy warehouse or checkout use. The device does not work with square POS formats, so environments that require that symbology must choose a different reader.
