On-Board Marine Battery Charger

The Guest on-board marine battery charger delivers a 5 A charge current for a single 12 V battery bank from a 120 V AC supply. It uses high-frequency digital charging technology with a fully automatic five-stage cycle. Each bank has dedicated charging, sensing and control circuitry for precise management.

Waterproof Construction and Safety Features

The unit is 100 percent waterproof with an IP67 rating and shock resistant for fresh and saltwater use. It is up to 40 percent lighter than previous designs and pre-wired for easy installation. Built-in protections include reverse polarity, over-current, over-voltage, over-temperature and ignition protection, plus in-line fuses for DC wire protection.

Suitable for Flooded and AGM Lead-Acid Batteries

This charger suits boat owners maintaining one 12 V flooded or AGM lead-acid battery. It is not for lithium chemistries or multi-bank installations requiring simultaneous charging of two or more batteries. Buyers needing higher amperage or additional banks should consider other models.

Questions about this item

How often will the in-line DC fuses need replacing under normal use?

The in-line fuses protect the DC wiring and only need replacement if a fault causes them to blow; they are not a scheduled maintenance item.

What is the first limit reached when the charger runs continuously at its 5 A output?

Built-in over-temperature protection will activate before any other limit if the unit overheats during sustained charging.

Does the IP67-rated case stay cool and quiet during all-day operation?

The charger is fully sealed with no fan, so it runs silently; heat is dissipated through the waterproof housing.
