Design and Construction

The Gunnar Haus reading glasses feature a classic unisex frame finished in Onyx. One-piece front construction and multi-layered European acetates create a lightweight feel at 31 grams. Spring hinges with a measured flex rate and a precision metal hinge block provide engineered stability and a customisable fit through bendable temple cores.

Magnification and Lens Benefits

These glasses supply a fixed +1.00 magnification suited to close-up reading tasks. The proprietary amber lens material blocks 65 percent of blue light and 100 percent of UV light. Anti-reflective coatings on both lens surfaces reduce glare during extended screen or book use.

Fit Profile and Limitations

The 53 mm lens width, 15 mm bridge and 140 mm temples suit medium-width faces. Buyers who need a different diopter strength or a wider frame should look elsewhere. The package includes a microfibre pouch and cleaning cloth for maintenance.

Questions about this item

What are the lens width and bridge size of the Haus frames?

The lens width is 53 mm and the bridge is 15 mm, giving a frame width of 125 mm.

How do I adjust the acetate temples for a secure fit?

Bend the inner cores of the acetate temples gently inward or outward; the spring hinges have a measured flex rate that holds the adjustment without slipping.

How should I clean the anti-reflective coatings on the lenses?

Use the included microfiber cleaning cloth on both sides of the lenses; avoid paper towels or chemical sprays that can degrade the coatings.
