Hahnemuhle Platinum Rag is an uncoated fine art paper designed for platinum printing and other non-traditional photographic processes such as Palladium, Van Dyke, Cyanotype and Salt Prints. The natural bright white surface is made of 100% cotton fibers and weighs 300 gsm. It is acid free and contains no alkaline buffering, ensuring archival stability for hand-coated emulsions.

Optimised Sizing for Hand Coating

The paper features optimised sizing that allows for easy coating and clearing during the sensitiser application stage. Both sides deliver very good print quality without noticeable difference, giving the printer flexibility when coating either the front or the back. A smooth, slightly textured surface provides a pleasant tactile feel while supporting a beautiful tonal range and very deep blacks in the final print.

Limited to Contact Printing Workflows

This product is supplied as 25 sheets in an 8x10 inch format, suitable for contact printing frames and smaller alternative-process work. The uncoated cotton surface requires the user to apply all light-sensitive chemistry manually; it is not compatible with standard inkjet or darkroom enlarger workflows. Buyers needing a ready-to-print inkjet paper or larger sheet sizes for projection printing should look elsewhere.
