Haida 77mm NanoPro Clear-Night Filter HD3704-77

Night-sky filter for 77 mm threads

The Haida NanoPro Clear-Night Filter HD3704-77 is a light-pollution filter sized for 77 mm filter threads on film, digital and video cameras. It targets the yellow emission from sodium-vapour lamps that dominates urban night skies. Photographers shooting starscapes or city night scenes gain cleaner colour and better contrast without changing exposure.

Works only with daylight-balanced capture

The effect appears when the camera uses daylight film or a daylight white-balance setting; other white-balance modes will not produce the intended colour correction. Ten antireflection layers on each glass surface suppress internal ghosting and flare from bright point lights. An anti-static nano coating repels dust and smudges so the glass stays clear during long sessions.

Replaces uncoated clear or UV filters at night

A standard protective filter passes the full sodium glow, washing out faint stars and adding orange haze to architectural shots. This filter blocks those dominant wavelengths, so nebulae, the Milky Way and illuminated building details render with higher contrast. The upgrade is worth it whenever artificial light pollutes the scene and you need natural night colours straight from the camera.
