77mm Variable ND for Wide-Angle Lenses

The Haida PROII Variable ND fits 77mm threads and reduces exposure by two to five stops. Its ultra-slim aluminium frame prevents vignetting on wide-angle glass. Photographers and videographers gain continuous control over shutter speed and aperture without swapping fixed filters. Optical glass with hydrophobic hard coating resists water and reflections.

Replaces a Stack of Fixed ND Filters

One rotating ring covers densities from ND0.6 to ND1.5, removing the need to carry multiple single-strength filters. The jump is worth it when you shoot changing light or need smooth exposure ramps during video takes. Marked dots on the front ring let you return to favourite settings quickly.

Check Thread Size and Vignetting Risk

Verify your lens has a 77mm front thread before ordering. The slim profile helps with wide angles, but very wide focal lengths may still show corner darkening at maximum density. Ensure the rotating ring clears your lens hood or matte box if you use one.

Questions about this item

Will the 77 mm thread fit my wide-angle lens without vignetting?

The ultra-slim aluminium alloy frame is designed for wide-angle lenses and mounts directly on any 77 mm filter thread.

How do I set an exact density between ND0.6 and ND1.5?

Rotate the front ring until the desired dot marking aligns with the indicator; each dot represents a calibrated stop value from 2 to 5 stops.

How should I clean the optical hydrophobic hard coating?

Use a lens brush to remove dust, then wipe gently with a microfibre cloth and optical cleaning fluid; the hydrophobic layer resists water and oil smudges.
