Haida Greystone 72mm ND 1.8 Filter (64x) #HD4778-72

72mm Greystone ND 1.8 filter for exposure control

This 72mm circular neutral density filter provides a 6-stop exposure reduction with a 64x filter factor, allowing photographers to use wider apertures or slower shutter speeds in bright conditions. The 1.8 density darkens the entire image uniformly without affecting color rendition, making it suitable for landscape and long-exposure work. Its lightweight aluminum-alloy ring is designed to minimize vignetting on wide-angle lenses.

Multi-coated glass maintains clarity during

High-quality optical glass construction ensures optimal clarity and color fidelity throughout a shooting session. The multi-coated surfaces prevent internal ghosting and reflections that can degrade image contrast when shooting into bright light. The durable aluminum ring resists binding on the lens threads, allowing the filter to be removed cleanly after prolonged mounting in variable temperatures.

Verify 72mm thread size and filter stack limits

Confirm that your lens has a 72mm front filter thread before ordering, as this filter will not fit other diameters without a step-up ring. The thin aluminum ring reduces vignetting risk, but stacking multiple filters on wide-angle lenses may still cause corner darkening. Ensure your creative workflow requires a fixed 6-stop reduction rather than a variable density solution.
