Slim two-slice toaster for compact kitchens

The Hamilton Beach 22989 is a slim, 900 W toaster designed for narrow countertops and small households. Its black finish and integrated cord storage keep the footprint tidy. It suits anyone who wants a simple appliance for daily bread and bagel toasting without a bulky four-slice unit.

10-inch extra-wide slot with seven shade settings

A single 10 inch slot fits two regular slices side by side or one long artisan slice without cutting. Self-centering guides brown both sides evenly across seven selectable shade levels. The bagel button extends the cycle for a warm cut face, while the high-lift carriage raises small items like English muffins for easy removal.

Countertop-friendly dimensions and manual controls

At 4.6 inches wide, 15.9 inches deep and 7.5 inches high, the toaster slips into tight gaps between appliances. Mechanical dial and push-button controls need no setup or connectivity. The cancel button stops any cycle immediately, and the automatic shut-off adds peace of mind if toast gets stuck.

Questions about this item

Will the 10-inch slot fit thick homemade bread alongside my existing toaster oven?

The extra-long, extra-wide 10-inch slot with self-centering guides toasts two regular slices or one long artisan slice without cutting, so it handles thick breads your toaster oven might miss.

How do I know the bagel function is toasting correctly after I press the button?

The bagel button illuminates while active and extends the cycle so the cut side browns while the crust warms; the automatic shut-off then stops the cycle.

Does the 22989 come with a crumb tray and do I need to buy a separate cord wrap?

The toaster includes a removable crumb tray for cleaning and has premium cord storage built into the base, so no separate wrap is required.
