Hamilton Beach Angry Mama Steam Cleaner

This microwave cleaning tool uses steam to loosen stubborn stains and food residue. Add vinegar and water to the fill lines, then heat for seven minutes on high. The head emits steam that softens grime for easy wiping. It is made from polypropylene and is top-shelf dishwasher safe.

Steam cleaning cycle and handling

After the seven-minute heating cycle, allow the unit to stand for two additional minutes before removing it by the cooler arms. The remaining liquid can be used with a sponge to finish cleaning interior surfaces. Handle with care as the liquid remains hot. The tool fits inside most microwaves at 5.5 by 4.3 by 3.5 inches.

Check microwave capacity and cleaning needs

Verify your microwave cavity can accommodate a 5.5 by 4.3 by 3.5 inch item before ordering. This product is not for buyers who want an automatic self-cleaning appliance or a chemical-free option without vinegar. It also does not suit users who need a larger capacity cleaner for commercial ovens.

Questions about this item

Does the Angry Mama get too hot to handle after the 7-minute steam cycle?

The arms stay cooler so you can lift it out, but the body holds hot liquid — wait the extra two minutes and handle with care.

What household items do I need before the first cleaning session?

You supply white vinegar and water; an optional squeeze of essence adds fragrance, and a sponge finishes the wipe-down.

Will the 5.5 × 4.3 × 3.5 in figure fit a compact microwave with a low turntable?

At 5.5 inches tall and 3.5 inches deep it sits on most standard turntables, but measure your cavity height if the ceiling is unusually low.
