What this product is

SkyDrift: Gladiator Multiplayer Pack is downloadable content for the PC racing game SkyDrift. Published by Handy Games and developed by Digital Reality, it adds two classic multiplayer modes: Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch. The pack is delivered as a Steam code and requires the base game to play. Released on 27 November 2011, it targets players who want competitive aerial combat.

How it fits into your library

The DLC activates through Steam and is only available in select countries; blocked regions include AF, BY, CF, CD, CU, IR, IQ, KP, LB, LY, MM, RU, SO, SD, SY, UA, VE, YE, ZW and SS. A Steam account is mandatory for activation and installation. Minimum Windows requirements call for an x86 or x64 version of XP, Vista or 7, a dual-core processor at 2.0 GHz and 1 GB of RAM. It frees you to host custom matches with adjustable weather and time limits.

Who this suits and who should pass

This pack suits owners of SkyDrift on PC who want dedicated arena combat modes and six additional maps such as Warfactory, U.F.O. and Scrapyard. Players without the base game cannot use this content. Buyers in blocked regions cannot activate the code. Anyone seeking a standalone racing experience or single-player additions should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

What limits frame rates during long dogfight sessions?

The minimum spec calls for a 2.0 GHz dual-core CPU and 1 GB RAM; sustained performance will be bound by that processor speed and memory ceiling.

How much heat or fan noise does the download itself add to a PC running all day?

The downloadable code installs once and then runs inside the base game, so it adds no extra heat, power draw or fan noise beyond what SkyDrift already produces.

Which base game must already be in the Steam library for this pack to activate?

The pack requires the base game SkyDrift on Steam; without it the DLC cannot be installed or played.
