9-inch folding step stool for everyday reach

This compact step stool adds 9 inches of height for accessing upper cabinets, shelves or changing light bulbs. Its 300-pound capacity suits most adults and the non-slip surface and integrated handle add confidence when stepping up. The lightweight plastic construction makes it easy to move from kitchen to bathroom or bedroom as needed.

Sustained use under the rated load

The stool supports its full 300-pound rating during repeated stepping or sitting without flexing or creaking. The gripped stepping surface keeps its traction even after prolonged use and the folding mechanism stays secure through many open-close cycles. No lubrication or tightening is required to maintain stability over time.

Limits of the folded footprint

When collapsed the unit measures 35.05 by 4.32 by 28.96 centimeters so it slides into narrow gaps beside appliances or under beds. The 9-inch rise is fixed and cannot be adjusted for higher tasks. Users needing more than 9 inches of elevation or a wider standing platform will need a different solution.

Questions about this item

Does the 5111 step stool generate any noise or heat when left unfolded all day?

The Handy Laundry 5111 is a passive plastic stool with no moving parts, motors or electronics, so it produces no noise, heat or power draw while in use.

What must I already own for the 5111 to work as intended?

Nothing — the 5111 arrives fully assembled and ready to use; simply unfold the 9-inch high platform and step onto the non-slip surface.

Will the 5111 sit stably alongside my older 13-inch folding stool on the same floor?

Yes, both stools have flat plastic bases and non-slip stepping surfaces, so the 5111 and a 13-inch model will each stand independently without rocking on the same flooring.
