What this cable does

The Hannord right-angle USB-C extension adds 5 ft of reach while carrying 20 Gbps data and up to 240 W of Power Delivery 3.1. Its 90-degree L-shaped plug reduces strain on the port and fits tight spaces behind monitors or docks. The aluminium shell and nylon braid resist tangling and wear. Thunderbolt 3 devices are supported.

Check your host port first

Verify that your USB-C port delivers DisplayPort Alternate Mode if you need 4K or 8K video output. The cable handles 48 V at 5 A, so the host and charger must both support that voltage and current for maximum charging speed. Data devices should be USB 3.2 Gen 2 or Thunderbolt 3 capable to reach the rated 20 Gbps.

Replaces a straight USB-C extender

Swap out a straight male-to-female cable when the connector blocks adjacent ports or bends sharply at the device. The right-angle design is worth it for cramped desk setups, wall-mounted displays or docks where cable stress shortens cord life. Buyers who need a longer run than 5 ft or a different angle orientation should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Does the cable include a power adapter or do I need to supply my own 240W charger?

The extension cable carries up to 240W from your existing USB-C power adapter; no charger is included in the box.

Should I choose a different length or speed rating for 8K video?

This model is 5 ft long, rated at 20Gbps and supports 8K video when the host device has DisplayPort Alternate Mode.

Will the 20Gbps rating be maintained when the cable is plugged into a Thunderbolt 3 port?

Yes, the cable is Thunderbolt 3 compatible and delivers up to 20Gbps data transfer through that interface.
