Sustained transfer behaviour

The cable maintains USB 3.0 speeds only when both the host controller and the connected device support USB 3.0; otherwise the link falls back to USB 2.0 or 1.1 rates. Shielding layers reduce interference during long transfers, and the reinforced strain-relief joint is rated for 20,000 plus bend cycles to keep signal integrity stable over time. Oxidised or loose ports on either end will prevent 3.0 operation.
