Connector and speed

This Hannord cable uses a USB Type-A to USB-C connection and supports up to 10Gbps data transfer under the USB 3.2 Gen 2 specification. It also delivers up to 60W of power for fast charging when both the charger and the device support it. The 6.5ft length adds reach for setups where the host and peripheral are further apart. It works with Android Auto in compatible vehicles.

Capacity and headroom

At 10Gbps the link moves large media libraries and SSD backups quickly, provided the host port and the attached device both operate at Gen 2 speeds. The 60W ceiling covers most phones, tablets and compact laptops, but it will not satisfy larger notebooks that draw more power. If either end falls back to an older USB standard, throughput and charging rate drop accordingly.

Thermals noise and power

The cable is passive and has no active cooling, so it produces no audible noise during operation. Normal use generates only modest warmth proportional to the current flowing through the conductors. Power draw is determined entirely by the connected charger and device, with the cable itself adding negligible resistance.
