USB-C 20 Gbps Extension Cable

This 6.6 ft grey cable extends a USB-C connection with a male-to-female layout. It carries USB 3.2 Gen 2 signals at up to 20 Gbps and delivers up to 100 W of power at 20 V / 5 A. The nylon braided jacket is rated for over 10,000 bends.

Suits charging and data, not Thunderbolt 3 docks

Users who need extra reach for laptops, tablets, phones or external SSDs will find the length and 100 W charging useful. The cable does not function with any Thunderbolt 3 docking station, hub or cable, so buyers requiring that connectivity must choose a different product.

20 Gbps bandwidth and 100 W power headroom

Large file transfers such as a 5 GB payload complete in roughly 5 to 10 seconds at the rated speed. A Samsung S21 reaches about 80 % charge in 35 minutes. Thunderbolt 3 peripherals and any device needing Thunderbolt 3 protocol support will not operate through this cable.

Questions about this item

Does the 100W 20V/5A charging work with my existing USB-C power adapter and device?

Yes, the cable passes up to 100W at 20V/5A, so any USB-C charger and device that negotiate that profile will charge at full speed through the extension.

Will this cable work with a Thunderbolt 3 dock I already own?

No, the manufacturer states the extension does not work with any Thunderbolt 3 docking station, hub or cable.

How can I verify the 20Gbps link is active after I plug it in?

Transfer a large file and check the speed; USB 3.2 Gen 2 20Gbps should move roughly 5GB in 5-10 seconds, confirming the full rate.
