Hasbro F4527 Battleship Classic Board Game

Classic naval combat for two players

Hasbro F4527 Battleship is a tabletop strategy game for two players aged seven and up. Each commander deploys five vessels and calls grid coordinates to locate and sink the opposing fleet. The set includes 10 plastic ships, 73 red hit pegs and 168 green miss pegs. Portable battle cases store every piece for quick setup and travel.

Check space and player count before buying

The game requires a flat surface large enough for two open battle cases and room to call shots without overlap. Only two people can play at once, so larger groups need a different activity. All components are physical; no batteries, screens or internet connection are involved. Verify that the intended players are comfortable reading letter-number grid references.

Sturdy cases and simple daily handling

Each case is moulded plastic with integrated grid trays that keep pegs and ships in place during transport. The hinge and latch survive repeated opening and closing without loose parts. Pegs press firmly into holes, so a bumped table does not scramble the board state. At 1.81 lbs the set fits easily on a shelf or in a backpack for school, travel or family gatherings.
