3/4" Basket Strainer for Industrial Plumbing

The Hayward SBC075STE132 basket strainer fits 3/4 inch piping with a socket/threaded connection. Its Eastar housing and black steel construction handle a maximum pressure of 100 psi. A PVC screen with 1/32 inch mesh and 37.03 square inches of screen area traps debris. The EPDM gasket provides a reliable seal for industrial plumbing systems.

Replaces Worn Strainers in Existing 3/4" Lines

This unit serves as a direct replacement when an older basket strainer on a 3/4 inch line begins to leak or clog. The jump is worth it when the housing shows stress cracking or the screen mesh has deformed under pressure. It restores full filtration capacity without re-piping because the socket/threaded ends match the original connection type.

Sustained Flow at 100 psi with Consistent Filtration

Under continuous operation at the rated 100 psi, the Eastar housing maintains its shape and the PVC screen resists deformation. The 37.03 square inch screen area keeps pressure drop stable over long runs. The 1/32 inch mesh continues to capture fine particles without rapid blinding, and the EPDM gasket holds its seal through thermal cycles.

Questions about this item

Will the 3/4 in socket and threaded connections match my existing pipework?

The strainer has both socket and threaded ends for 3/4 in pipe, so it fits standard PVC or metal fittings of that size.

Which way should the flow arrow point during installation, and is the screen orientation critical?

Install with the flow arrow matching water direction; the PVC screen sits inside the Eastar housing and must face downstream to catch debris.

How often should I clean or replace the 1/32 in mesh PVC screen?

Inspect the 37.03 in² screen area monthly and clean when pressure drop rises; replace the screen if mesh tears or EPDM gasket hardens.
