The valve body uses PVC construction with EPDM seals rated for water temperatures between 40 and 140 degrees Fahrenheit.

Pressure and flow limits

Maximum water pressure is 235 psi at 70 degrees Fahrenheit and the valve is not rated for steam service. Cracking pressure is 3 psi with a full-flow design rated at 6 gpm. Vertical mounting orientation is required for proper operation and the seat material is EPDM.

Installation notes and common issues

The true-union design lets you remove the valve body without cutting pipe, but solvent-weld sockets and FNPT threads need clean, square cuts and compatible sealant. Over-tightening the union nuts can crack the PVC body and debris on the seat will prevent a tight seal.
