Pool Check Valve for 2-Inch PVC Systems
The Hayward YC10200S is a Y-pattern check valve built from PVC with FPM seals for pool and spa plumbing. It fits 2-inch socket connections and operates in horizontal or vertical runs. The design allows flow in one direction while preventing backflow when the pump shuts off.
PVC Body with Socket Mounting for Direct Solvent
The valve body uses PVC rated to 150 psi at 70 degrees F and handles water temperatures from 40 to 140 degrees F. Socket ends accept standard 2-inch PVC pipe for permanent solvent-weld installation. A cracking pressure of 1.000 psi keeps the valve closed until forward flow overcomes the spring force.
No Accessories or Software Included
The package contains only the valve body with internal spring and seal components. No unions, glue, primer or control electronics are supplied. Installers must provide compatible PVC pipe, solvent cement and any required support brackets separately.

Questions about this item
What does the 1.000 psi cracking pressure mean for flow through this Y check valve?
The valve begins to open when upstream pressure exceeds 1.000 psi, allowing flow in one direction while preventing backflow.
What pipe size and connection type does the 2" socket PVC valve require?
It fits 2 inch Schedule 40 PVC pipe with solvent-weld socket connections on both ends.
How should the valve be oriented during installation to avoid the common mistake?
Install with the Y-pattern body horizontal or vertical as marked; the arrow must point in the actual flow direction, not simply upward.
