Product identity

The Haywards DBTB0428B2G is a 40 mm axial cooling fan built for computer cases and similar electronic enclosures. It runs on 12 V DC and uses a four-wire PWM interface for intelligent speed control.

Build and connections

A double ball bearing supports the rotor, rated for 70000 hours of operation. The four-pin connector supplies power, ground, PWM control and a tachometer signal, allowing the host system to regulate speed and monitor rotation in real time.

Deciding specification

Maximum speed reaches 18000 RPM with an airflow of 19.4 CFM and a noise level of 54 dB, making it suitable only for builds that prioritise raw cooling performance over acoustic comfort.
